Prep: 15 mins | Cook time: 20 mins | Serves: 2-4
What you will need:
- 1kg Boneless pork belly
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar
- 3 Tsp smoked paprika
- 2 Tsp plain flour
- 1 Tsp onion powder
- 1/2 Tsp garlic powder
- Olive oil spray
Sticky golden syrup sauce:
- 50g Butter
- 2 Tbsp golden syrup
- 2 Tbsp barbecue sauce
- 1 Tbsp bourbon
- 2 Tsp sriracha
Method
- Start by placing the brown sugar, paprika, flour, onion powder and garlic powder into a bowl and stir to combine to create the seasoning
- Cut the pork belly into 4cm squares, place them into a bowl and cover with the seasoning. Place the bowl into the fridge for 2 hours to dry out. Do not cover the bowl
- Once dried out, pop the pork belly squares into the air fryer, spray over with some olive oil and cook for about 20 mins on 200°C
- While the pork belly is in the air fryer, place the sticky golden syrup sauce ingredients into a small pot over medium heat until melted. Bring it to a simmer until the sauce thickens - about 3-5 mins. Remove from heat
- Once the pork belly has cooked, pour the sticky sauce over the top
- Serve and enjoy!
