Prep: 15 mins | Cook time: 20 mins | Serves: 2-4

What you will need:

  • 1kg Boneless pork belly
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 Tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 Tsp plain flour
  • 1 Tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 Tsp garlic powder
  • Olive oil spray

Sticky golden syrup sauce:
  • 50g Butter
  • 2 Tbsp golden syrup
  • 2 Tbsp barbecue sauce
  • 1 Tbsp bourbon
  • 2 Tsp sriracha

Method

  • Start by placing the brown sugar, paprika, flour, onion powder and garlic powder into a bowl and stir to combine to create the seasoning
  • Cut the pork belly into 4cm squares, place them into a bowl and cover with the seasoning. Place the bowl into the fridge for 2 hours to dry out. Do not cover the bowl
  • Once dried out, pop the pork belly squares into the air fryer, spray over with some olive oil and cook for about 20 mins on 200°C
  • While the pork belly is in the air fryer, place the sticky golden syrup sauce ingredients into a small pot over medium heat until melted. Bring it to a simmer until the sauce thickens - about 3-5 mins. Remove from heat
  • Once the pork belly has cooked, pour the sticky sauce over the top
  • Serve and enjoy!
