Easy Chicken Kiev Pastries

Prep: 15 mins | Cook time: 20 mins | Serves: 4


What you will need:

  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 2 Garlic cloves, minced
  • A handful of parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp plain flour
  • 75ml Milk
  • 400 BBQ chicken, shredded
  • 4x Puff pastry sheets, halved
  • Garlic & Herb butter, cut into small squares 
  • 2 Eggs, whisked 


Method

  • Start by preheating your oven to 200°C and line a baking tray with baking paper. Lay 4 sheets of puff pastry to the tray and set aside
  • Melt the butter in a pan over medium-high heat and add the garlic and parsley and give it a stir. Add in the flour and stir through until combined
  • Add in the milk and chicken and stir through
  • Add the mixture to the puff pastry sheets on the lined baking tray and cover them with the remaining 4 puff pastry sheets
  • Using the back of a fork, press down along all sides of the pastry squares and then score the tops with a knife
  • Brush some egg wash over the top and then pop the pan into the oven for 20 minutes 
  • Serve and enjoy!
