Prep: 10 mins | Cook time: 30 mins | Serves: 2


What you will need:

  • 1 Potato
  • A bowl of water with some salt mixed through it
  • Small bowl of EVOO with some garlic salt mixed through
  • Skewers
  •  2x Straws or 2x Chopsticks


  • Preheat your oven to 200°C, line a baking tray with baking paper and set aside
  • Peel your potato and cut in to rectangular cubes 
  • Place one of the cubes between your straws/chopsticks and using a sharp knife, cut down vertically along the potato cube about 3-5mm apart. Turn the cub over and then cut diagonally across the cube
  • Repeat the process with remaining potato cubes and then transfer them into the salt water and rub the starch off them
  • Skewer each potato cube through the centre and then transfer them to your baking tray
  • Brush the potato skewers over with the EVOO mixture and then place them into the oven for 30mins 
  • Remove from the oven and allow them to slightly cool
  • Serve and enjoy!
