Almond Croissants

The most delicious at home Almond Croissants 🥐 The real MVP here is the @colessupermarkets buttery bake at home croissants. Why have I not tried these sooner?!

Prep: 5 mins | Cook time: 20 minutes | Serves: 6

 

What you will need:

  • Coles All Butter Croissants
  • 15g Butter
  • 15g Vanilla protein powder
  • A dash of almond extract
  • 1 Tsp white sugar
  • A handful of almond flakes
  • Icing sugar
  • A piping bag (or a glad bag with the corner cut off)

Method

  • Start by preheating your oven to 170°C and line a baking tray with baking paper
  • Place the croissants on to the baking paper and pop them into the oven for 19 minutes
  • While the croissants are in the oven, place the butter, protein powder, almond extract and white sugar into a bowl and stir through until it becomes a paste like mixture. Add the mixture into a piping bag
  • Once the croissants are ready, remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly
  • Pipe the mixture over the croissants, sprinkle over some almond flakes and icing sugar
  • Serve and enjoy!
