Burnt Butter Amaretto Sour. Wow wow wow. Absolutely one of the best cocktails I’ve made this year.
What you will need:
- 30ml Brown Butter Bourbon
- 45ml Amaretto
- 30ml Cinnamon syrup
- Juice of 1/2 a lemon
- 1 Egg white
- A handful of ice
- A cocktail shaker
To garnish:
- Maraschino cherry on a skewer
Brown Butter Bourbon
- 1/2 Cup of butter
- 2 Cups of bourbon
Method
- Start by melting down the butter in a saucepan until it bubbles and browns. Remove it from the heat until cooled. Add in the bourbon and stir to combine. Let it sit for an hour and then store it in the fridge overnight. Strain out the bourbon using paper towels or a coffee filter and set aside
- Add all the cocktail ingredients into your cocktail shaker and give it a good shake
- Pour into your desired glass over some ice, garnish with a maraschino cherry on a skewer
- Serve and enjoy!
