Crispy Prawn Rice Paper Rolls

These are a tiny bit of work but I promise you the effort is worth it.

Prep: 15 mins | Cook time: 12 mins  | Serves: 2

 

What you will need:

  • 500g Raw prawns, chopped 
  • 1 Garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 Tbsp chives, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp spring onions, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp fresh ginger
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 5 Sheets rice paper
  • Sesame seeds

     

     Method

    • Preheat your oven to 220 °C and line a baking tray with baking paper
    • In a mixing bowl, add the prawns, garlic, chives, spring onions, salt & pepper, sesame oil and soy sauce, stir to combine and set aside
    • Add some warm water into a shallow bowl. One at a time, submerge a rice paper sheet into the water and then transfer on top of some wet paper towels and cut in half 
    • Add a spoonful of mixture on to each side of the rice paper sheet and roll them into dumplings and transfer onto your lined baking tray
    • Repeat steps for remaining rice paper sheets and then sprinkle some sesame seeds over the top
    • Pop them into the oven for 12 minutes 
    • Serve and enjoy!
