Seasons

I find the beginning of Autumn to be the prettiest time of the year. Just before the leaves begin to fall they turn bright yellows, oranges and reds. The streets look bright and alive. It’s a feast for your eyes and your senses.

And then, over a couple of short weeks, the leaves fall and the trees are left bare. Although still beautiful, everything is different.

How to relax…

Sass & Bide

I’m not good a relaxing. I’m a doer. I do things. Constantly. Do. Do. Do. I’m a calm human, but I find it really hard to sit my butt down! Our bodies minds and spirits benefit from taking a little bit of time to refocus, rejuvenate and zen out. Here are some hot tips on doing some little things to relax! It's black. It's white.

Alice

The black and white combo would have to be my all time favourite fashion go to. It’s classic, clean, smart, simple and in my opinion, will never go out of style.

Why I love a suit

suit

I’ve always loved suits. Blazers are kinda my thing. I love how they bring structure and shape to a whole outfit and it’s a simple way to dress up a more casual look. Put it together with a pair of suit pants, and it’s instant classic goodness.

Here’s why I love them so.

Over the knee boot courage

boots

I’ve never been one for an over the knee boot. I don’t know if it’s my fear people thinking  I’ve walked straight from a scene of ‘Pretty Woman’, or my conservative Christian upbringing, but I’ve never been brave enough to try it…..till now. Once I summoned up the courage to parade myself down the street, Julia Roberts style, there was no stopping me. Now I can’t take them off! They actually go with everything and can be dressed up, or worn in a more casual way. I’m a convert. Can I get an Amen?

Here are three ways to wear the over the knee boot trend that will be everywhere this winter. If you aren’t seen in a pair this season it will be a ‘big mistake, big, HUGE’ (see what I did there?)

What to wear every day

ETI_4790

Everyday wear. It can be a tricky thing to conquer with all the activities we do in a day. Heels and pencil skirts can be impractical and flat shoes and ripped jeans are inappropriate for some occasions. I am lucky enough to own my own business, so I can set the dress code, but I still have to be comfortable enough to be with my kids, and look good enough to take a meeting. It’s a fine line but I have put together some tips to filling up your wardrobe with basics to nail it every time.

Maldives escape

Maldives 1

This month, our family had the most amazing experience to be guests at beautiful Club Med Kani. The word paradise would be an understatement to describe the beauty of the Maldives. The place is spectacular. After a huge couple of years, we as a family were in need of some down time to chill and be together. This was just the place!

Ebb and Flow

Ebb & Flow: a decline and increase, constant fluctuations.

Life has a way of bringing constant change. I do like the challenge of keeping up with it’s inconsistencies but I’m also honest and realistic that it’s hard to find the balance sometimes.
