Saved it for a rainy day
So….I’m not sure what happened to summer here in Sydney – this rain just won’t stop! While the weather is all doom and gloom outside, I have taken a rare chance/moment in time to hop back into bed this afternoon, snuggle in with my laptop and dream about the year ahead. I love that about a new year. It give us the chance to wipe the slate clean, get re-inspired and dream up new ideas, challenges, resolutions and plan exciting new adventures.

I have a list a mile long of all the things I want to do this year, and I am excited to share them all with you…and I will. There will be more of everything from me. More blog posts, styling, Tea with Jules, Sebastian family adventures, mummy stories and hopefully much, much more.
I also want to do more reading, listen to inspiring podcasts, give back more, eat less chocolate, be in each moment, celebrate the achievements, practice kindness, watch my babies grow into curious, happy children, spend time with my friends, finally finish watching Mad Men and consolidate this crazy life into smaller bite sized pieces.

But for now, I will snuggle in my warm bed for the next hour and cast my mind back to this gorgeous shoot I did with the lovely Gemma Pranita last year. Our plans this day were spoilt by the torential rain/near floods (kind of like today!). We had dreamt up an entirely different concept for this shoot outdoors, however, fate had other plans and I am ecstatic at how it turned out. A little bit of mishap and a lot of wind and rain turned into a dreamy, slightly messy set up for our unplanned indoor shoot.
I hope that this year my days are spoilt by the rain, unplanned and messy but I hope they turn out just how they are supposed to.
Enjoy x
