Marvellous Mauritius
It seems like just a dream now, but a few weeks ago, our family had the absolute pleasure of going on another Club Med adventure…this time to La Plantation d’Albion Mauritius!
After a huge 2016, we were in need of some R&R, and oh did we R&R!!
On arrival to our Villa, we were blown away by the size and space that would be ours for the next 10 days. With a quick tour of the resort shortly after settling in, we knew we would be treated to an amazing stay.
There were soooo many options for fun and relaxation to happen. A main pool (kid friendly), the Zen Pool (no kids allowed!), gym complete with sauna, a spa retreat, 2 choices of restaurants, golfing, watersports, organized activities, the bar (!) or just plain sitting by the beach watching the world go by.
I was excited to finish a book and spend time with my family (goals!), but that’s what holidays are for right?
Now, for those of you asking…we have a 4 year old and a 2 year old, and we all know that travelling with children can be tricky…some might even say torture! Alas!! I hear your cry, and I answer that with ‘get your butt to this resort pronto!’. The kids had an absolute ball! Hudson frequented Mini Club Med for a few days where he swam, did arts and craft, went kayaking and boating and even trapezed! The carers where so fun, friendly and made sure the kids had the best time. He came back happy and tired!! We swam in the main pool every day, visited the beach, hung out at the Villa and cruised around on the buggies with the kids too (their fav thing of the trip-ahh the simple things!). The best part of course, was the afternoon Nutella pancakes every day. I’m surprised we didn’t turn into Nutella pancakes by the end of the trip.
This get away came complete with family bonding time and lots of eating…always eating.
If you are considering a trip with the kids, I would recommend this resort. We truly loved it and feel blessed to be able to create some beautiful memories.
A special mention and huge thanks also to Air Asia for flying us there and back safely….oh and for making Guy sing ‘Angels Brought Me Here’ on flight – that was a definite highlight!!
