Dannii does Target
Fashion and music are 2 of my favourite things in life, so when Target decided to combine the two for their Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival show in Sydney over the weekend at Town Hall, I couldn’t have been happier to attend. To make things even more exciting, the musical act was none other than one of my best friends, Samantha Jade.

If that put a smile on my dial, Dannii Minogue, who is one of the most fashionable, fashionista’s around, was showing her new range for Target – Petites. The range is a mix of casual wear in bright colours and prints for spring and summer with a few more dressed up pieces for work and evening wear. The show was opened by the drop dead gorgeous Rachael Finch, who, for a muma of a cutie pie 1 year old, looks smokin!

I got my frock on and chose a dusty pink 50’s inspired Betty Tran dress to wear for the show. I love this dress – one of the absolute favourites I’ve ever worn!

An excellent show Target and thanks for the invite!

Beautiful You: My weekend looks
It’s extra hard work picking outfits for yourself to wear to the ultimate event for women – but after rifling through a lot of choices I finally settled on two key looks. Day one was all about feeling pretty glam, while for Day Two I opted for a stylish but casual and comfortable look.
A lot of you asked where I got out my outfits from. Here’s a breakdown of what I was wearing on both days, so here goes:
Beautiful You: Day One:
Aqua Top by Sheike , Skirt by BooHoo, Leather jacket by Es Trella and shoes by Extraordinary Ordinary Day.
Beautiful You – Day Two:
Tropical Jacket by Cameo, Top by Ellery, Pants by Bassike and Shoes by Nine West

Heroine Chic (or Why You Should Always Look In The Mirror Before Leaving The House)
Let my crazy mistake be a lesson to all of us ladies out there (and even the gents!) – ALWAYS, I repeat ALWAYS double check in the mirror before you step out the door (triple check, check with everyone in the house before you leave!!!).
I bought this awesome tee from one of my new fav labels, Jaggar, to wear for the first day of my appearance at Beautiful You – the shirt had in bold writing across the front the word HEROINE, as in Super Woman Extraordinaire, We Run the World, Girl Hero, You Can Do it Girls! I thought it was an empowering statement to all the super women out there that rule.
But, in my innocence (ok, blondness), I did the farrshion thing and balanced my leather jacket across my shoulders and power walked my way into that event, neglecting to notice that my jacket had strategically covered the last E in the word HEROINE. Without that vital letter to finish off that word…it becomes a word that
I would very much not like to promote let alone sprawl it across my chest! Needless to say – MORTIFIED and an outfit change was immediate. Apologies to anyone who saw me stomping around with all the confidence in the world – I was trying to make a point that girls are amazing. FAIL! (but I still believe that girls are amazing)
