At the ripe old age of 17, Shelby Hamilton has already made her mark on the fashion and modelling industry. Known for her unique style and quirky personality, this girl is a power player. She spends 5 minutes with me and shares her pearls of wisdom on blogging and making a positive difference in the world.

You have been described as a model/blogger/fashionista plus you have joined the Supré Girl Gang. Phew…so many hats to wear…how would you describe yourself?
I would definitely describe myself as weird and a bit whacky. I am friendly and honest. I love wearing lots of hats because each of them provides me with a different creative outlet.
What is the best part about what you do?
The best part about what I do is the ability I have to express myself. I feel as if there are no boundaries and I can be myself completely. I also love being able to meet so many interesting people and just have fun.
What are 3 great tips for bloggers and instagramers?
My three tips would have to be:
1. Go into everything you do with love!
2. Your main motive shouldn’t be followers or “fame”.
3. Be yourself.
I love that your advice to other people trying to get into what you do is to not do something to become famous or to gain more followers. Do it for the love of it. How important has that been in building your brand and career so far?
Thank you. It has been very important to me because I am not constantly worrying about numbers. I do everything because I genuinely love to do it. Everyone always mentions the word “career” to me and truth be told it kind of freaks me out because it’s been such an organic process for me. I have been lucky enough to turn my hobbies into a career path!
This question would usually be what would you tell your 14 year old self…but you are still a teen, so what do you think you will tell your 34 year old self?
Sometimes it can feel like my life is in fast forward and I have to stop and remind myself I’m just a baby! I hope my 34 year old self is happy. I hope my 34 year old self remembers why I started all of this in the first place and I hope that no matter where I am or what I’m doing I am still creating and being me.
How do you want to make a positive difference in this world?
I hope I inspire people to make their own decisions. I want people to follow their instincts and do what feels right. I want them to have an open mind and stop taking everything so seriously. I hope the things I do make people smile and see things differently.
How would you describe your personal style?
My personal style is influenced by characters. I am obsessed with films. When I am dressing up I ask myself “who do I want to be today?” With that being said I do just wear what makes me feel comfortable and pieces that are true to myself. I like to think my style is classic.
What is your favourite piece of clothing you own?
That question is so hard! My favourite thing to wear right now is probably stockings and my pink shiny Topshop shoes.
What’s on your fashion wish list?
What isn’t on the wish list? If I start talking about my fashion wish list we would be here for a while.
What was it like shooting with Margaret Zhang?
Shooting with Margaret was really cool. She was so sweet and relaxed with me. It was more of a hang out and giggle!
Can you share with us some must have pieces from the Supré range for Spring/Summer? Yes. I love the Supré basics. My must haves are the deep V halter necks, everything ribbed and the denim shirt dress!
