Some photo moments from a special morning tea I held for my lovely friend Tammy. A fresh and floral party with tea and a bit of toilet paper too.
Last weekend we had the pleasure of revealing an exciting project The Sebastian Foundation has been working on over the past 6 months – a brand new playground for the Winmalee Neighbourhood Centre in the Blue Mountains.
As we all know, the Blue Mountains suffered terribly over the past year because of the bush fires that hit in October 2013. As a result, 186 homes were lost in the Winmalee, Yellow Rock and Springwood area. On the day of the fires and for the weeks following it sent the community into a 10 day long battle of fear, anxiety, disruption, impaired sleep and total physical exhaustion.
Thankfully, the Winmalee Neighbourhood Centre (WNC) began its support of the families and residents in their community as soon as the fires hit and kept their doors open continuously for 8 weeks straight organising clothes, food, toiletries,, linen and practical items. The centre became and continues to be a place of refuge for all those affected.
The Manager (or Angel of Winmalee – as the residences refer to her as) of the (WNC), Morna Colbran, has spent tireless and countless amounts of hours at the centre, making it a place where the community can find counselling and any other life needs they may have. She is a hard worker and given up so much of herself to make provide happiness for others. We thought it was only fitting to honour this wonderful woman and name the playground ‘Morna’s Playground’ after her.
We at The Sebastian Foundation saw a need at the centre, a bare yard with nowhere for the children to go an be entertained while their parents were seeking help and counselling. Having our own children, Guy and I know the importance of having a place for them to run in the sunshine, exert energy and have fun. We thought, what better way to inject some fun and brightness into the families of this community than to build a playground for them to enjoy. This is a central place for families to come and the centre plays such an integral role in the lives of so many.
We are honoured to be a part of such a beautiful initiative and are so grateful to the donations of the public to our foundation which has enabled us to build this playground.
Our reveal on Saturday was an amazing day! We had our fantastic ambassador Sam Moran come and sing a few songs followed by the lovely Guy Sebastian who belted out a few tunes too. It was so great to have so many smiling faces come to say hello and to support the foundation. The best and most rewarding part of the day was seeing all the kids playing on the playground and the adults enjoying the parents retreat. The sun was shining and it was so fun meeting everyone who came out for the day!
Once again – it is because of the generosity of everyone who donates to The Sebastian Foundation that allows us to help families and communities like this. We are forever grateful for all the support. If you would like to make a donation so we can continue to help families please head to www.thesebastianfoundation.org
We held a breakfast today to celebrate the Spring / Summer fashion range at DFO Homebush. Check out some pics from the fresh and fashionable breakfast today – thanks to everyone who joined me!
My shoe obsession this month is the wonderful Australian-designed brand Extraordinary Ordinary Day. I met Ash Lim from ExOD Shoes and instantly fell in love with these amazing pieces of foot candy! Can we please have a moment for those metallic brogues/loafers?
Not only are they are super stylish – but they’re also super comfortable – which is a rare combo! I lasted an entire day in a pair of these magic shoes (I was wearing Basilisk in Beige) and hey presto – I could still feel my feet at the end of the day – extraordinary! Check out the ExOD range online here and photos from my visit to the ExOD studio below.
It’s no secret at all that I had the best time filming Bringing Sexy Back for Channel Seven – sure I had just given birth to my beautiful second baby Archer and sleep wasn’t exactly a thing, but seeing how the lovely people on the show transformed themselves both physically and emotionally was so inspiring and so worth it!
Those of you who follow me on Instagram would know I post the makeover outfits after each episode – but I’ve decided to list my Top 3 looks from the show based on your feedback and of course, my own personal favourites.
Every Tuesday night for the past six weeks, at around 8.30pm, I’ve received literally thousands of messages from fans of Bringing Sexy Back asking me what I dressed our lovely candidates in. For those of you that missed out – here’s the complete clothing list for the Bringing Sexy Back reveal outfits – and a few behind-the-scenes tidbits too! Enjoy x
Ahh Ned – what absolute Aussie legend. Such a great, down to earth bloke who had a genuine love for life and the people around him. He worked so hard and was so serious about getting his health back there was nothing stopping him. He did give me a bit of a rough go when it came to styling him up – he practically teased me and disagreed with everything I said and pulled out for him (all in fun of course), but we got there in the end with Ned and he looked smashing by the end of it. I knew I had done a good job, when I saw him out and about the next day wearing the leather jacket he wore in his reveal. SO happy for Ned and his gorgeous fiance Becky – they are just the cutest couple!

Sam & Garry
Sam & Gary would have the be the happiest, most loved up couple I’ve ever seen! So amazing to see two people so in love after two kids and years of marriage! They were pleasure to work with and so appreciative of all they help they received from Cam and I. Gary was extremely easy going and trusted me completely, so styling him was super fun and super easy! I wanted him to look sophisticated and suave – mission accomplished. With Sam, it took a little longer to nail her look but she was a bombshell by the end of her make over. We gave her brassy red hair and chinched in that tiny little waist to show off all her curves. She paid a visit to the dentist and walked away with a brand new smile – and what a smile she has!

Lisa! What a stunner. This woman was so inspiring to be around. She really wanted to change her life and she did exactly that. She changed her whole perspective on health and fitness and I was there to style her for one of the most pivotal moments in her daughter (Lucy’s) life – her debutante ball. Lisa carries herself with such confidence and so excited to wear a pretty fock and be there for Lucy’s big moment. Not only was she debuting her daughter but herself! Judging by the photo I took with her at the airport the day after the show aired – she has kept on track and is looking AMAZING!

Courtney & Vicky
These girls were a riot to style! There is nothing like a mother/daughter combo to brighten your day! They were so sweet with each other and very complimentary (and opinionated) with each others looks! We had a super fun day of fittings and practically tried on the entire 3 floors of Myer, but we managed to have those girls looking fabulous for their reveal. They were so happy with their new looks and bodies and so they should be. They looked beautiful.

The Italian Stallion! Livio was a winner of a bloke. He really worked his butt off to get this sexy back – and he did just that. We shaved his beard and got rid of all that hair gel from his (my words) helmet head, and textured his hair with a modern cut. I put Livio in a suit in a blue colour to steer away from the basic black that mens suits tend to lean towards. I loved hearing Livio’s story as we did our fittings – he has such a heart of gold. I was so happy for him getting married to the love of his life and his kid’s were soo cute! Livio – you did so well and did us all proud!

Styling up this former model was awesome. Paula was really into trying on new things and loved fashion and being around the clothes and hair and make up. The more I was around Paula the more I saw her inner sass coming through so I wanted to give her a signature style – I chose a rock and roll edge and she really pulled it off! The corset and pants is not something that every girl can rock, but she really wore it beautifully. And that billboard – WOW! Go girl!
It’s extra hard work picking outfits for yourself to wear to the ultimate event for women – but after rifling through a lot of choices I finally settled on two key looks. Day one was all about feeling pretty glam, while for Day Two I opted for a stylish but casual and comfortable look.
A lot of you asked where I got out my outfits from. Here’s a breakdown of what I was wearing on both days, so here goes:
Beautiful You: Day One:
Beautiful You – Day Two:
Let my crazy mistake be a lesson to all of us ladies out there (and even the gents!) – ALWAYS, I repeat ALWAYS double check in the mirror before you step out the door (triple check, check with everyone in the house before you leave!!!).
I bought this awesome tee from one of my new fav labels, Jaggar, to wear for the first day of my appearance at Beautiful You – the shirt had in bold writing across the front the word HEROINE, as in Super Woman Extraordinaire, We Run the World, Girl Hero, You Can Do it Girls! I thought it was an empowering statement to all the super women out there that rule.
But, in my innocence (ok, blondness), I did the farrshion thing and balanced my leather jacket across my shoulders and power walked my way into that event, neglecting to notice that my jacket had strategically covered the last E in the word HEROINE. Without that vital letter to finish off that word…it becomes a word that
I would very much not like to promote let alone sprawl it across my chest! Needless to say – MORTIFIED and an outfit change was immediate. Apologies to anyone who saw me stomping around with all the confidence in the world – I was trying to make a point that girls are amazing. FAIL! (but I still believe that girls are amazing)
